School Dinners

The school has a one hour dinner break from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Parents are free to choose for their child to have a school dinner or bring a packed lunch. The children eat their dinner in the school hall and packed lunches and school dinner children sit together on mixed aged tables.

We operate two sittings, each beginning and ending with prayer. School meals are provided by Kirklees School Meals Service and are prepared on the school premises. Weekly and daily menus are available for children and parents to view.

From September 2014 the Government introduced free school meals for all children in Reception and Key Stage 1 classes, parents can chose to take up this offer or their child can bring a packed lunch.

Starting in September 2018 school dinners will rise to £2.20 per day (£11.00 per week).

Children may, if they wish, have a school dinner just on a Friday (Fantastic Friday). All dinner money should be sent into school on a Monday with the child's name and class clearly indicated on the envelope. Parents are at liberty to pay for a half-term or term in advance if this is more convenient. We ask that two weeks' notice is given if your child chooses to go onto, or come off school dinners.
