Sacramental Preparation Catch up Autumn term6 November 2020 (by clare.moulding) |
Good afternoon Parents/ Carers,
Following a Catholic Life committee meeting this morning, it is with a very heavy heart that I have to confirm that the preparation and celebration of both Reconciliation (Class 4) and First Holy Communion (Class 5) have had to be put on hold once again. Bishop Marcus sent out final communication to all Parish Priests last night that under the current National restrictions we are no longer able to go ahead with the planned preparation and celebrations - even those that were to take place within school.
Father Eammon and I will of course create a new plan in the Spring term once we are given the green light again by the diocese.
Can I express how sorry I am that we have not been able to put our carefully developed plans into action - the faith journey of our pupils is such an important part of our school life and we are very hopeful that we can begin this again soon. I will communicate this with yourselves as soon as I know any more.
Sorry once again, with kind regards
Mrs Clare Moulding
