Closure of the EYFS Unit tomorrow onwards17 May 2021 (by clare.moulding) |
Good evening,
I am very sorry to have to message this late but after feeling rough for the last hour a member of EYFS staff has just completed an additional LFD test and it has just returned a positive COVID result. The LFD test that was completed by the staff member yesterday, within our twice weekly testing routine, was negative. As a result of the positive LFD test result this evening we are closing the unit to all EYFS pupils and staff whilst the member of staff arranges and completes a full PCR test for confirmation of the positive result following the Public Health England advice.
All EYFS pupils must now isolate at home for 10 days and not leave their home - that includes coming to school for drop off or collecting older siblings even if they are showing no symptoms. All other year groups and classes will continue to be open including for older siblings.
Tomorrow morning the other members of the EYFS staff will begin to put together some virtual learning for the Nursery and Reception pupils which will be uploaded onto TEAMs late morning. As soon as I have any further information regarding the PCR test results I will communicate through the school APP.
I am sure you will all join with me in wishing the member of staff all the very best and hope they feel better as quickly as possible.
With kind regards
Mrs Clare Moulding (Headteacher)
