Well Done to all our First Communicants this week19 June 2021 (by clare.moulding) |
Good afternoon,
Following the completion of our four First Holy Communion Masses this week, I would like to express a huge well done to all 30 pupils who have celebrated the sacrament. Each one of you looked beautiful, read wonderfully, participated confidently and made myself and all the community of St Patrick's school immensely proud. Thank you to all our families for their hard work in supporting school with the journey of preparation for their child, which I fully recognise has taken such a long time due to the pandemic. Thank you also for your understanding of the essential protective measures that we have had to have in place following the DFE school documents, national government guidance and risk assessments both in school and at church in order for us to complete this very important faith journey.
Each Mass has been live streamed and recorded so that we can, once it is ready, provide each family with a copy of their child's Mass to keep. Can I please take this opportunity to thank Father Eamonn for his unwavering support and guidance, to both the pupils and the staff throughout the journey of preparation. He has given up a lot of time ensuring he could support us in school and lead all the Masses so that we could make it as special as possible for all our super pupils. Unfortunately, Father Eamonn has had to postpone the Mass on Thursday 24th June but the children will still be having a celebration with their friends in the afternoon. We will have the planned Mass, photograph and certificate presentation on Father Eamonn's return from his well deserved holiday later in July - further information will be sent once the date and arrangements are confirmed. Thank you once again and a huge WELL DONE to all our pupils. I hope you have a lovely weekend.
