Good evening,
It is with sadness that I have to inform you that after school today a pupil in class 2-1 has tested positive for COVID19 on the LFD test and I now have to ask all pupils and staff from Class 2-1 to isolate from now. Class 2-1 is now closed for the next 10 days. The isolation I believe, will end at midnight on Thursday 15th July but I do have to get confirmation from PHE and DFE who are currently closed so I will get that tomorrow. If my calculations are correct the class will reopen on Friday16th July unless we have further cases. Having just gone through the risk assessment with PHE over the weekend and again this afternoon I am sure that the dates I am sharing are correct but will send an official letter, from the PHE/DFE once it has been confirmed when I can speak to them tomorrow.
Miss Bairstow will be adding some home learning to the TEAMs platform tomorrow morning, as I have just contacted her asking her to prepare it. We will then develop the offer with TEAMS meetings from Wednesday 7th July as long as staff stay well.
I am sure like me, you will all want to send your thoughts and prayers to the young pupil and their family and wish them a very speedy recovery.
