A further positive COVID case in school5 July 2021 (by clare.moulding) |
Good evening,
It is with sadness, that I inform our school community that this evening we have been informed that a pupil in Class 2-1 has tested positive for COVID19 on the LFD test. As a result of another class having to be closed and to exercise needed caution I am now cancelling all after school catch-up sessions. There will be no session tomorrow and for the rest of the school year.
I ask all parents to be extremely aware of their children feeling even slightly unwell, possible hay fever type symptoms, cold like symptoms including headaches. If your child does not appear to be their usual self, please use caution and give them an LFD test to be sure they are not masking the COVID19 symptoms as they are young. LFD tests are widely available and I urge you to get some to keep your families and friends safe. In school we are continuing to follow our very careful risk assessment to try to keep everyone as safe as possible.
I take my responsibility to look after all pupils and staff very seriously and at the moment we appear to have two separate cases of COVID19 in school. We need to do everything we possibly can to stop more pupils, staff or their families from becoming ill.
I know you will all join with me in sending our thoughts and prayers to all those who have been affected over the last few days.
With the kindest regards
Mrs Clare Moulding
