Good morning,
It is with sadness that I have to inform you that on waking up this morning a pupil in class 2 has tested positive for COVID19 on the LFD test and I now have to ask all pupils and staff from Class 2 to isolate from now. Class 2 is now closed for the next 10 days. The isolation I believe, will end at midnight on Friday 16th July but I do have to get confirmation from PHE and DFE who are currently closed so I will get that later this morning. If my calculations are correct the class will reopen on Monday 19th July. Having just gone through the risk assessment with PHE twice over the last few days I am sure that the dates I am sharing are correct but will send an official letter, from the PHE/DFE once it has been confirmed when I can speak to them tomorrow.
Mrs Abbott has just left school to go home and will begin preparing some home learning which will be added to the TEAMs platform tomorrow morning. We will then develop the offer with TEAMS meetings from Thursday 8th July as long as staff stay well.
I am sure like me, you will all want to send your thoughts and prayers to the young pupil and their family and wish them a very speedy recovery.
