Positive COVID19 case in Class 4 - class closure19 July 2021 (by clare.moulding) |
Good evening,
It is with sadness that I have to inform you that this evening a pupil in class 4 has tested positive for COVID19 on the LFD test and I now have to ask all pupils and staff from Class 4 to isolate from now. Class 4 is now closed for the next 10 days, which means until the end of term, unless the PCR test booked for tomorrow returns an unlikely negative result and PHE tell me I can reopen the class. The isolation I believe, will end at midnight on Thursday 29th July but I do have to get confirmation from PHE and DFE who are currently closed so I will get that later tomorrow morning. Having just gone through the risk assessment with PHE a number of times over the last few weeks I am sure that the dates I am sharing are correct but will send an official letter, from the PHE/DFE once it has been confirmed when I can speak to them tomorrow. Although there are many things that have begun to change in the community, isolation does not change until 16th August so you must ensure you isolate your child from tonight for the 10 days where today is day 0.
Mrs Cawtheray has been made aware moments ago and so will add some work onto the TEAMs platform in the morning for tomorrow although she, like me has only just been informed. The full offer will begin on Wednesday until Friday. If we are unable to open, the end of year reports will be sent by email once we have the result of the PCR test.
I am sure like me, you will all want to send your thoughts and prayers to the young pupil and their family and wish them a very speedy recovery.
Kind regards
Mrs Clare Moulding
