Attendance Information on the End of Year reports 2021

21 July 2021 (by clare.moulding)

Good morning,

Please see the explanation below about the attendance information that will be on the end of year reports this year: Hopefully you will have a small sheet with this on placed in your report envelope but for those who are having the report emailed later this week the information is below.

End of Year Reports: Attendance Explanation 2020-2021:

The attendance for this year has been calculated in order to ensure the information is clear and fair to all pupils, not disadvantaging those pupils who have had increased isolation or home learning during the lockdown periods.

We have included the whole of the Autumn term and then from Monday 8th March to Thursday 27th May. If your child had to isolate within those dates the sessions of isolation have been removed which means pupils will have an individualised number of possible sessions where they should have been in school. The total number of sessions actually attended is then used against the total possible sessions to work out the percentage.

Example: 230 total possible sessions, 220 sessions attended means a percentage of 95.7%

We will not be awarding 100% attendance certificates this year due to the unprecedented year we have lived through, however we are planning on awarding 100% attendance certificates next year.

Kind regards

Mrs Clare Moulding
