Good afternoon,

As part of our Mental Health and Wellbeing activities with Class 5 and 6 this week, the pupils have written questions for a Mental Health Nurse to answer. The questions were completely anonymous. The nurse is called Ben and he works in the hospitals across Leeds. Ben recorded some videos of him answering these questions and the pupils of Class 5 and 6 have watched these with their teachers today. We would like to offer out these videos for parents to watch and share with their children if they feel this is appropriate and helpful (thinking mainly of KS2 or older children in High school). I would suggest parents watch them first and then decide if they feel it is appropriate to share.

You will need to click on the link below and it will take you to a folder with six videos. They should to be watched in order as the first has some basic explanation of mental health and what a mental health nurse is. I hope you find the answers helpful.

Can I please thank our school community for all your support across this week – the pupils have really enjoyed the variety of activities they have taken part in, which have raised a spotlight on wellbeing and how we can look after our mental health.
