Batley Food Bank Donation Day - Friday March 25th
Who are the Mini Vinnies?
Inspired by Christ, we are a dedicated group of year five and six pupils who meet together, organise and talk about helping others in need, within our school community and beyond.
Our latest mission - How you can help?
Our latest mission is to help a local food bank who provides emergency food and support for families locked in poverty in Batley and the surrounding area.
On Friday 25th March we would like the children in school to bring in a food donation. Food needs to be in date, unopened and in good condition, please. Long life food is best: it keeps well, and often requires little preparation and cooking. Many of the families who use the service, have limited cooking and storage facilities, or may have little fuel to spare.
Items needed are:
- Tinned meat, fish, halal and meat-free alternatives
- Tinned potatoes and other vegetables, fruit, rice pudding, custard
- Breakfast cereals, UHT milk, jam
- Cooking sauces
- Microwaveable rice, noodle and pasta pots
- Drinks such as tea bags, instant coffee, fruit squashes, other soft drinks
- Biscuits and sweet treats for children of all ages
Thank you in advance for your kind donations!
Batley Food Bank is a registered charity: 1157520.
