Mass in honour of Mary

25 May 2022 (by Nicola Blanchfield (nicola.blanchfield2))

Dear Parent/ Carers,

Tomorrow (Thursday 24th May) the children in Early Years (Reception and Morning Nursery) will be joining the school in walking to St. Patrick's church to celebrate Mass together. Our Mass will be in honour of Mary, for her special month of May and will begin at 10.30am.

Whilst we are walking we will be singing hymns to Our Lady and waving flowers in her honour. It would be wonderful if you could please send a flower or very small bunch of flowers to school tomorrow, that your child will be able to carry and wave during our procession to church.

With a whole school Mass celebration the church will be very full, however any parents and family members that would like to join us are most welcome. We just politely request that you do not take a seat until all classes have arrived and taken their place.

If you are available to support with walking the Early Years children to church and back it would be very much appreciated. Please email the school office: office@stpatricksbirstall.co.uk, if you would be willing to help, we would require you to arrive at school for 10am tomorrow if your help is needed.

We have a number of pupils who do not currently have the necessary permissions in place on our system, we will contact you directly, if this is the case.

With kind regards,

Mrs Clare Moulding
(Headteacher)
