Y2 to Y6 Reading with your child Workshop

17 November 2022 (by clare.moulding)

Good evening,

I wanted to share with you that we are having a Reading Workshop in school for parents of pupils in Year 2 to Year 6, on Wednesday 23rd November from 9am to 9:45am. The workshop is being led by Mrs Katie Walker and Miss Catherine Wolanski and will cover how to effectively support your child with their reading at home. We will be sharing a video of an effective 1-1 reading session and further ideas to support parents at home when reading with their child. Reading is such an important but wonderful skill to have and affects all other areas of learning, so it is vital that we enable our pupils to develop a love for reading. The partnership working of school and home together is invaluable in enabling the best progress in learning so we would like to offer this session of support.

This particular session is for parents of pupils in Year 2 to Year 6 only.

After Christmas(dates to be confirmed) we will be holding a Phonics and Early Reading workshop for parents of pupils in EYFS and Year 1 that will be led by Mrs Rebecca Cheetham and Miss Emily Gott.

I do hope that you can join us for the Reading Workshop for Parents of pupils in Y2 to Y6.

Kind regards

Clare Moulding
