Thank You - Friday 13th October5 October 2023 (by Emily Gott (emily.gott)) |
Good afternoon,
On Friday 13th October, we are welcoming PPG and some of their volunteers onto the school site at the end of the day. This is to say thank you to PPG for their generous grant and for the team for their hard work over the summer in improving our school environment. Our local MP, Kim Leadbeater will also be coming to school to commemorate the work that has been completed. Parents and families are invited onto the playground at 3pm on this day to show their support of thanks to those involved. After this, parents are able to come into school and have a drink, walk through the school, view the different classrooms that have been painted, and see the playground markings in the Early Years and Key Stage One areas.
Also, on Friday 13th October, we will be marking some of the British Values. In Britain we have a set of values we hope to be shared by all, that guide us to being a nation where everyone feels safe, valued and free to be themselves. You can find further information about the British Values here: https://www.stpatricksbirstall.co.uk/ourschool/our-curriculum-1/british-values On Friday 13th October, the children will be able to come to school wearing red, white and blue to represent the colours of the union jack flag.
We look forward to marking this occasion with you next week.
Kind regards,
Miss Gott
