The KS2 Kirklees Cross Country Finals are due to take place this Thursday (11th). After two cancellations due to poor weather, we are hopeful with drier weather leading up to Thursday that all will go ahead.
I sent out some reminder letters for some children who haven't yet brought their permission slips back to school. Please could these be brought back by tomorrow so we can finalise registers.
All children need to have a packed lunch with them as we are having an early dinner at 11:20am before we set off at 12pm.
All children need to wear their school PE kit, a warm coat and have a water bottle with them. Children must ensure they have suitable footwear - football boots are allowed.
We have 49 children who have qualified for the event - all children will travel with staff on a coach leaving St Patrick's at 12pm.
Parents are very welcome to come and support at the the event however we have been encouraged to ask parents to car share where possible as parking is limited.
The children’s races will be as follows:
YEAR 3 GIRLS Start 1.00 Approx.
YEAR 3 BOYS Start 1.12 Approx.
YEAR 4 GIRLS Start 1.24 Approx.
YEAR 4 BOYS Start 1.36 Approx.
YEAR 5 GIRLS Start 1.48 Approx.
YEAR 5 BOYS Start 2.00 Approx.
YEAR 6 GIRLS Start 2.12 Approx.
YEAR 6 BOYS Start 2.24 Approx.
If you have given your child permission to leave after their race then Mrs Redick and Mrs Barber will need to register them back the the St Patrick's Base first of all and then safely dismiss them to their adult. Please be very patient as the event is extremely busy - we thank you in advance for your support with this.
All children who are returning to school on the coach are scheduled to leave just before 3pm and arrive back by 3:50pm at the latest. Please can parents promptly meet us in the school playground - thank you.
