Pedestrian gate automatic opening in a morning8 May 2024 (by clare.moulding) |
Good afternoon,
The automatic opening of the pedestrian gate this morning was late at 8:49am instead of 8:45am. I apologise for any inconvenience or hazards this may have caused.
Our Caretaker Mr Parry, has carried out an investigation into why this happened and found that the clock timer was incorrect by 4 minutes leading to the gate opening late. This has been rectified and should now open on time or just before - I have asked that this is monitored over the next week to see if the clock timer maintains the correct time to ensure that the playground is opened to parents and pupils on time, if not just before 8:45am.
Whilst school will be vigilant moving forward in ensuring we monitor the gate opening on time, can I please kindly ask that parents ENSURE that their children do not come racing into the playground in order to be first in the line. We do not want to have an injury caused by running at such speeds across the playground. As always pupils CANNOT be left in the playground without their responsible adult watching them to ensure they are safe - the pupils are in the care of school staff only from 8:55am when they enter the school building.
Thank you for working as partners with school to ensure pupils are kept safe and I again apologise for the late opening this morning.
Kind regards
Clare Moulding
