St Patrick's Catholic Primary Academy

Good afternoon

Just a polite reminder to all parents who have a child running in Tuesday's Kirklees Cross Country Finals.

All children will be transported to the event by coach at 12pm.  Parents are very welcome to attend the event however we have been encouraged to ask parents to car share where possible as parking is limited.

The children’s races will be as follows:

YEAR 3 GIRLS Start 1.00 Approx.

YEAR 3 BOYS Start 1.12 Approx.

YEAR 4 GIRLS Start 1.24 Approx.

YEAR 4 BOYS Start 1.36 Approx.

YEAR 5 GIRLS Start 1.48 Approx.

YEAR 5 BOYS Start 2.00 Approx.

YEAR 6 GIRLS Start 2.12 Approx.

YEAR 6 BOYS Start 2.24 Approx.

Children will need to bring a packed lunch on this day and a drink. All children will eat their dinner in the school hall at 11:25am. They should come to school ready in their sports kit with a raincoat and a warm jumper, especially as there will be long waiting times in between races.  If your child has an inhaler or any medication - please can you ensure this is on their person ready to give to Mrs Abbott..

Thank you for all the children's reply slips.  We are aware of which children are being collected at the end of their race and which children will be returning school on the coach.

We have been asked to politely remind all parents and spectators to wait behind the bollards/tape and please do not cross to meet your child at any point.

After your child's race, they will return to the St Patrick's Base where staff will dismiss the children (please do not come to the finish line as this is a safeguarding issue due to the number of children running).

Please can all parents who are collecting their child after their race wait patiently as school staff dismiss the children - we thank you for your support with this.

All children returning on the coach are expected to arrive back at school at 3:50pm (estimated time of arrival depending upon traffic).

Thank you for all your support

Mrs F Abbott
