Adaptations due to the hot weather tomorrow9 July 2026 (by clare.moulding) |
Good evening,
Due to the forecasted hot, sunny weather, which according the Met Office may reach up to 32 degrees in Birstall tomorrow, pupils are able to wear there PE kits (not black cycling shorts) even if they do not have PE, if parents feel it will keep them cooler. I politely remind all parents/carers to ensure their child/ren come to school with a water bottle, with suncream that will last the day applied before they arrive (please try not send suncream into school wherever possible but apply at home),and a hat. The pupils will be outside for 15 mins in the morning at breaktime and 30 minutes at lunchtime.
We have shaded areas on our playground and so are advising the pupils to spend time in the shaded areas and NOT to run around as much as they would usually do.
Thank you for your anticipated support
Kind regards
Clare Moulding
